I want to take a moment to nominate Cecile for the DAISY Award because she is an extraordinary nurse at UMC Spring Valley Quick Care. She is kind, compassionate, knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile for her patients. I have been a patient at Spring Valley Quick for the last 19 years, and every time I have been here, she goes out of her way to help me, reassure me, and make me feel that everything will be okay.

Additionally, I have observed her when she interacts with her other patients. She is always jovial and manages to get her patients to smile while providing patient-centered, high-quality care. Cecile has been a faithful and dedicated employee to UMC for over 19 years (yes, I have seen her for the last 19 years). She is always willing to help her coworkers during difficult times and when the census is crazy here at Spring Valley Quick Care. She is a great cheerleader to have on the team, whether here for Nurses’ Week, Pathway to Excellence, or our latest, Magnet rounding. She always greets us with a smile and a quick story that makes our day.

Thank you, Cecile, for being so pleasant not only to your colleagues but also to your patients… I am both a colleague and a patient, and you make me want to come to Spring Valley Quick Care when I need care!
