May 2018 Honoree
catherine zehner, RN, BSN
Katie has amazing healing powers. Let me explain my experience with this beautiful, caring nurse.
I was admitted to Excela Latrobe with my potassium level nearly depleted and my COPD running amuck. Being 70, I am frightened. Admitted to PCU I find most are very kind and concerned. I laid awake all night worrying. The morning finally arrives as does Katie. She could see how frightened I was so she took extra time with me explaining the problem.
When I first met her, I could tell by how gentle she was by just looking into her eyes and her gentle touch. I felt at peace knowing she was caring for me.

Thank you, Catherine, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
