Cat is a phenomenal nurse. Each time I have the pleasure of her taking care of me, I have no complaints. She always has a way of anticipating my needs. I never have to call for meds when working with her. In addition, she has an amazing dedication to her patients. Because I am a difficult stick, I have frequently required a lot of IV team consults.

This week was my special kind of hell. I had a midline fail, a central line attempt failed, and the IV team was at a loss. The Cath lab refused to put a port in, given the risks and benefits. I essentially had to suffer for 14 hours without IV access. My doctor was at a loss as to how to help. Cat didn't let any of that get in the way of her providing the best care possible.

After all of these issues, Cat was the only nurse who actually tried to get access when no one else would. Because of her skill and determination, she was able to get two IV sites on the first try. I was amazed that she was able to find two sites that were able to stand up to my IV Phenergan. I am so very grateful for her and her skills.
