During our NICU stay, we had the pleasure of having Catherine Cabuhat as our baby's nurse for several days. Catherine went above and beyond in the ways that she cared for our baby and in the ways she supported my husband and me.

Catherine was very supportive of my daughter and me learning how to breastfeed and was always there to give me encouragement. As well as tips and tricks to make it more successful. I was able to nurse my daughter past her adjusted age of 1 year and will forever be grateful for Catherine's support in the early days.

When we wanted to take cute newborn pictures (something we hadn't gotten since my baby was in the NICU and I was also admitted to the hospital the first week), she helped us plan out and coordinate the most perfect photo shoot. She helped us pick out the perfect swaddle, blankets, and bow, had everything ready for us by the time we got there, and even fixed the tape on her NG tube so that it looked better for the photos.

Up until this point, all of our photos had been full of medical equipment, wires, and IVs. But Catherine gave us the opportunity to have traditional newborn photos that we will cherish forever. She made our NICU stay so much better. We looked forward to seeing her and knew that our daughter was in the best hands anytime we had to leave. I hope Catherine knows how much her kindness and care impacted us, and how truly grateful we always will be for the love and care she gave us and our daughter.
