Casi was positive and compassionate throughout my stay. Her interactions with me were characterized by her warmth and humor. She supported me when I had a bit of a cry, listened to me, and empathized. She made my stay more comfortable.

Nobody likes to be at the hospital, but exceptional care can make all the difference. My mother was brought to the hospital through the emergency room after a fall at her assisted living facility. After spending several hours in the emergency room hallway, we were relieved when she was assigned a room on the fourth floor.
Upon arriving at her room, we were warmly greeted by Nurse Casey Chandler. From the moment we met her, Casey’s warmth and kindness were evident. She led a team of staff members in carefully and compassionately getting my mother, O, settled into bed, treating her with extraordinary dignity and respect. As the daughter of a retired nurse who now has dementia, I deeply appreciated not only the care my mother received but also the empathy and professionalism Casey demonstrated.
Casey efficiently and thoroughly reviewed my mother’s medical information, ensuring no detail was overlooked. She then took a moment to speak with me privately in the hallway about my mother's medical directive regarding resuscitation. This is never an easy conversation, yet Casey’s reassuring tone and kind words made it a little easier to bear.
There are certain professions where you can tell when someone was simply born to do the work, and nursing is clearly Casey’s calling. She embodies the heart and compassion that exceptional nurses bring to their role.
Once my mother was settled, I let Casey know I was leaving. With genuine warmth, she told me, someone will call you if anything happens, and I will take care of her like she’s my own mom. That simple yet powerful promise gave me the peace of mind I needed to leave, knowing my mother was in capable and caring hands.
