Casey Geary exemplifies the highest standards of clinical excellence, advocacy, and deep empathy.
When my uncle was admitted, his dementia caused some challenging behaviors, and he was not initially kind to her. Rather than letting it impact his care, Casey handled the situation with incredible grace, professionalism, and patience. It was immediately clear how deeply she cared for him as a person.
Casey’s clinical focus was on full display during our visit. She carefully reviewed my uncle's physical condition and proactively called out several concerns regarding the care he had been receiving at his previous facility. Specifically, she noted pressure spots due to his low weight and immediately took action to address them, ensuring he would be fitted with pressure-relieving heel suspension boots before discharge to protect his skin.
Beyond her excellent skills, Casey provided immense emotional support. She deeply empathized with our family, recognizing how difficult this diagnosis is given how young my uncle is. She thoroughly explained his care, detailed next steps, and even took my phone number to help comfort him if he became anxious later. Casey's kindness and thorough communication made me feel completely at ease leaving him in her hands.
