My 12-year-old had an extrapyramidal syndrome after taking Raglan and Nurse Carol was the nurse in charge of the floor. Although she was not our assigned nurse, she got to the room promptly and took over. She was at all times super professional, she was in charge of the situation, she was really good and comforting with my child. So even though when the situation was really scary, nobody knew what the reaction was or why it was going on, she at all times was leading the situation, in command, and making me, the mom, feel "she's got this". If she hadn't been in the room while this most traumatic thing happened, I am not sure how I would have held up. Even this morning after a little bit over 24 hours of the incident, it was super nice of her to come by and check on us. Her immediate action, taking charge, comforting my son with oxygen and kind words was something very meaningful for him, he recognized her as soon as she walked through the door and thanked her.
Note: This is Carol's 2nd DAISY Award!
