After my husband was readmitted, he was in increasing pain, and trying to get medications figured out was not easy. Carly was one of the first night shift nurses he had. We felt having her on board was a divine appointment. She was so very considerate of his condition and empathetic toward his concerns. She had an outstanding knowledge base and seemed to always know just the right thing to say to calm his anxiety and bring wisdom to the situation. She was intuitively aware of how to respond to questions as well as casual conversation that always put him at ease. She stayed acutely aware of his vitals and symptoms and was the first to help normalize his pain. She was very professional yet very approachable and always made time to answer questions. We immensely appreciated and enjoyed the few nights we had with her. Her patient care was above and beyond what he had ever received. She was also always interested in knowing how I was doing and if I had any questions or needs. She is a GEM! We would like to see her recognized as a DAISY Honoree; she is so very worthy of the honor as a “standout” nurse at BMH!
