I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you how much my husband and I appreciated Candace. We were absolutely devastated with the news of his prognosis. Candace’s kindness, cheerfulness, and positive attitude were at just the right level to provide a brief reprieve from our new reality. She was a bright spot in our darkest days and the day she brought in Hoffman's ice cream for my husband, well, let's just say she truly won our hearts!

The compassion Candace showed my husband while performing her various medical tasks was special. She put him at ease by talking to him as she was performing her tasks in her very cheerful, youthful, joyful, southern way. I recognized the southern accent right away, as I am from North Carolina also. We couldn't help but smile every time Candace came to the room.
