Camille Wilson has been at The Legacy for several years, caring for anyone and everyone. From people with memory loss to people just rehabbing their health back, she has been a staple for The Legacy. Camille has a special place in her heart for the memory care wing and thoroughly enjoys working with her patients. She had a patient she cared for for years, and when the patient passed, Camille wrote a heartfelt note to the family, which the family used as a reading at the funeral.

Camille described the loving nature of her patient, how she always accepted her patient’s kind gestures, hugs, and kisses as if they were from her own grandma. She also wrote how one day there was someone playing piano, and her patient just started belting out the lyrics to the song. Her patient may not have remembered her as her nurse day to day, but Camille was in awe of what the mind was capable of, and she told her patient’s family about this story. The family was so appreciative that they were able to get a glimpse into their grandma’s/mom’s life that they thought was so long ago lost. Camille gave this family a crucial memory they will be able to hold onto while they grieve. This is just one of the stories of how Camille has touched the lives of her patients and their families.
