I was incredibly impressed with the way she handled herself and interacted with me. Camille was kind and compassionate, beyond anyone else, that I have experienced.
As a cancer patient, I recently transitioned to palliative care. I was admitted to Valley Presbyterian Hospital this past Friday. Since my admission and during this time of COVID-19, I have been dealing with the isolation that comes with the recent directives of not being able to leave my room or have visitors. Because of those requirements, the only people I was able to talk to, were those who entered my room. Having Camille assigned to my care, gave me the opportunity to talk with her quite a bit. I was incredibly impressed with the way she handled herself and interacted with me. She was kind and compassionate, beyond anyone else, that I have experienced. She spent extra time with me knowing that I have been so isolated during this pandemic.
I would make Camille an instructor for all new RNs. If new nurses emulated even half of what Camille could teach them or what I observed her doing with me, you would have the best new RNs at Valley Presbyterian - probably even in the whole state of California! I hope you recognize Camille. She made my stay here at the Valley one of the best I have ever had. She is amazing and certainly a DAISY Nurse.
