Her words weren’t just comforting; they were healing. I had never imagined someone outside my family could offer me such fierce love and support.
Hello, I am a patient who spent the past three months at Northside Hospital Forsyth, walking through a long and uncertain journey during my first pregnancy. At 20 weeks, I was rushed into emergency care when my cervix was found to be significantly dilated. I was admitted to the High-Risk Perinatal (HRP) unit, and after many difficult weeks, I gave birth to my baby at 33 weeks.

During the early days, I was told by many that my pregnancy might not last more than a few days — that I might never get the chance to meet my child. I was devastated. But amidst the fear and despair, Nurse Cami became my voice of hope and strength.

While everyone else hesitated to say I had a chance, Cami stood firmly by my side. Every single day, she would come into my room with a bright spirit, cheering me on with the words: “One more day! One more day!”

She believed in me and my baby, even when no one else could. Her unwavering encouragement and emotional strength carried me through each long day.

When I finally reached 28 weeks — a milestone I never thought I would see — she cried with me. Through her tears, she told me how deeply she had been hoping and praying for my baby D to stay safe inside me. Her words weren’t just comforting; they were healing. I had never imagined someone outside my family could offer me such fierce love and support.

Cami is not just a kind-hearted nurse — she is an absolute professional who carries deep compassion, emotional intelligence, and clinical excellence. She made me feel seen, heard, and cared for every step of the way. Thanks to her, the HRP unit didn’t just feel like a hospital — it began to feel like home.

Her presence made me stronger, and her heart gave me courage.

I can say with complete certainty: Cami is one of those rare people who leave a permanent mark on your life. She gave me more than care — she gave me belief, strength, and love.

Thank you, Nurse Cami. You were my light in the darkest time.
