Caitlyn got my sister into a wheelchair, and we wheeled her down the end of the hall to the sunshine and pretty views. My sister had happy tears!
My mom was a patient at Rush Copley for a little over a month. It was a rollercoaster of emotions for me and our family/friends. When I noticed that Caitlyn was my mom’s nurse for the day, it was relieving because I could tell she truly cared for my mom, and I could trust her. Caitlyn helped us with all of the stress and emotions we were having. She would constantly check in on my mom and was always there for all of our needs and our questions. My mom always had visitors, but when my mom was left alone for a little bit, Caitlyn sat with her so she wouldn’t be alone because she knew how important it was to us. Caitlyn went above and beyond when caring for my mom and it provided some relief to me and my family. Caitlyn always made an effort to make sure my mom was cleaned up by making sure she had clean bedding and taking time to wash her and her hair. Being in the hospital for long periods of time, self care is important and Caitlyn realized that and we appreciated it so much. I and my family cannot thank Caitlyn enough for all of the care she provided my mom. She felt like family by the end of my mom’s stay and she truly is an amazing nurse. We truly cannot thank her enough for all of the amazing care she provided.

Caitlyn went above and beyond in her attentiveness to my sister. She took the time to tenderly bathe her, wash her hair and braid it. One day, after she had been in bed for many days, Caitlyn got my sister into a wheelchair, and we wheeled her down the end of the hall to the sunshine and pretty views. My sister had happy tears! Getting out of her room was nourishment to her soul, and it happened because Caitlyn went the extra mile.
