Bryanne showed incredible support during our period in the NICU. She took incredible care of our daughter, K. She took time and care to make my wife and me comfortable during a very uncomfortable time. She was incredibly knowledgeable and answered most of our questions. She was incredibly caring and listened to us during our moments of frustration without judgment. She was so well in tune with K that she would often advise other nurses on how to comfort her when K couldn’t get settled. On days when she wasn’t assigned to K, she still stopped by and said hello to her “Kitty cat,” as she called K. K recognized her voice and would light up when Bri walked into the room. Bri loved dressing K up and would spend time organizing all of K’s things so we felt organized and at home as much as possible. In K’s final moments, it was very important to us to find Bri so she could say goodbye to K. That is how much of an impact she had on us and reflects the relationship she had built with K.
