His positive attitude and consistent encouragement boost morale and foster a supportive environment for everyone.
Every single morning, we witness the unwavering dedication of Bryan Perry. His commitment to our patients, staff, and units is truly remarkable. Even on weekends—when he often covers two floors—Bryan never fails to deliver his signature warm smile and calming presence. His ability to manage multiple responsibilities while maintaining high safety standards across both units is a testament to his tenacity and professionalism. More than that, Bryan uplifts those around him. His positive attitude and consistent encouragement boost morale and foster a supportive environment for everyone. At night, when his staff are overwhelmed, and the floor is especially challenging, Bryan goes out of his way to step in and help hands-on. He doesn't hesitate to roll up his sleeves and support his team directly. On top of that, he thoughtfully brings in food so that staff have the chance to practice a little self-care amidst the chaos—reminding us of all that we matter. It is both inspiring and reassuring to work alongside someone who leads with such compassion, strength, and grace. Bryan is a shining example of what the DAISY Award represents.
***
Bryan consistently goes above and beyond to support the nurses on the floor. Especially when the evening shift is without an ANM, he comes in 2 hours early to help us manage the demanding responsibility of the role. His dedication, leadership, and commitment to his team truly make a difference, and I want to recognize and appreciate Bryan for his exceptional support and care for the staff. In addition, Bryan consistently responds promptly to code gray situations and plays a key role in de-escalating agitated to aggressive patients with professionalism and calmness. We would like to nominate Bruan for his work ethic; he is also generous in his own way to the employees. He is someone we feel safe going to with concerns.
