My daughter was a patient for 18 days in the NICU. While she was my fifth child this was my first experience with one of them going to the NICU. My husband and I had no clue what to expect and had so many emotions going into this experience that to us was a huge disappointment and not how we wanted our birth experience to go. Brooklyn showed incredible care to not only our daughter but us as well. She went above and beyond to constantly tell us how incredible we were and how great we were doing being there and caring for our daughter when everything felt out of our control. She reassured us and communicated with us in such a caring and compassionate way and gave us the opportunity to participate in our daughter's care plan as much as we were able and encouraged us constantly. She had such a compassionate attitude and overall positive energy that made this unexpected journey so much easier. She was there not only to care for our daughter, but my husband and I felt seen and cared for as well. Overall, we couldn't have asked for a better experience or a better overall team for our daughter's care. We didn't have one person on her care team who didn't go above and beyond for our daughter and us. Brooklyn, we both just want to express how deeply you touched our lives and how thankful we are for the care you provided all three of us. We will never forget you or the way you made our time in the NICU just a little easier with your compassion and commitment to provide excellent care to our daughter.
