Brooke is an outstanding educator and role model for her team. Here are just a few reasons why she is a great candidate for the DAISY Nurse Educator award. Brooke exemplifies excellence, compassion, and professionalism every day. She creates an environment where learning is engaging, supportive and empowering. For example, Brooke involves several members of the nursing team in planning annual department competencies. Brooke's collaborative, mentoring approach engages experienced staff to lead competency stations, strengthening critical thinking while developing others. Additionally, her approach consistently empowers others, inspiring confidence and clinical excellence.

What truly sets Brooke apart from others is her unwavering commitment to others. She is approachable, patient, and willing to invest extra time to ensure every learner feels supported. Another example of her commitment is how she collaborates with the ECC education team to plan OB emergency simulations. She instills compassion, teamwork, and accountability, shaping a culture of excellence reflected in the care delivered throughout the organization. Recently, during an interdisciplinary simulation that included ECC & LDRP nursing staff, EMS, Case management, physicians, and nursing students, her efforts resonated with the nursing instructor observing the simulation.

She reached out a few weeks later, stating that she felt that the knowledge that she gained from this learning opportunity positively affected how she cared for a patient who presented during her shift with severe hypertension. Brooke's positive impact on our nurses, patients, and healthcare team is immeasurable. Her dedication to developing others and advancing nursing practice makes her exceptionally deserving of this DAISY Nurse Educator award recognition.

Thank you, Brooke, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
