With the formula crisis we're experiencing, this was nerve-wracking to say the least but Brittney was quick to assure me that I would be successful!
I have three children. Brittney has been involved in the birth of all of three of my kids in one way or another. With my youngest, Brittney was determined that she would be there to assist with the delivery! All throughout my pregnancy, Brittney and I had joked that we would have this baby together and towards the end, it didn't seem like that would be the case. After a little convincing though, we both got what we wanted; me a baby and Brittney her delivery!

Following my discharge, Brittney continued to check in with me to make sure there wasn't anything that I needed and that I was feeling okay. Although she isn't a lactation consultant, she was still available to help me in any way she could to continue my breastfeeding journey as it was kind of a first for me. She has been a big part of my support system while navigating this newfound lifestyle. I never had good experiences with breastfeeding my older two children so I was nervous that this would follow suit. With the formula crisis we're experiencing, this was nerve-wracking to say the least but Brittney was quick to assure me that I would be successful! Her words of encouragement have definitely been instrumental in my success. Without a doubt, I would have given up by now if it weren't for Brittney simply being there and helping guide me along this pathway.

From my first days as a new employee at Methodist Fremont, Brittney has been such an amazing coworker and leader. Three years later, I still feel the same about her as I did when I started. She is very approachable, kind, and cares about those around her. She's the one a lot of us go to for a listening ear, however, isn't afraid to give constructive criticism when needed. She works hard for our patients, but also never hesitates to lend a hand if she sees a teammate struggling.

Start of 2022, we were extremely busy in our unit, as well as everywhere else in the hospital. I was feeling tired and overwhelmed with balancing work/home life, as were a lot of nurses during "covid times." She offered to work a mandated shift of mine, a holiday shift, because my happiness at work mattered so much to her. I, her coworker, mattered so much to her. It is coworkers like Brittney who make the nursing profession strong. Nurses who look out for each other and lift one another up when it is needed most. Nurses who give of themselves not only to their patients but to everyone else around them. Methodist Fremont is blessed to have Brittney as an employee. I am even more blessed to have her as a coworker and friend.
