Brittney Hanley, RN, BSN, CCRN

ICU nurse Brittney was recognized for her extraordinary compassion while caring for a patient on comfort care who expressed a simple but profound wish: not to be alone. She remained at his bedside, holding his hand, playing comforting music, and providing a peaceful presence until his family arrived.

As one nominator shared, “Brittney went above and beyond to make sure that the patient felt loved. She would not leave him alone. Britney deserves recognition for the compassion and love she showed to an actively dying man.
