Brittany is one of those nurses whom everyone is thankful to work with. Brittany is always there to help her peers and is often the go-to person with questions. Brittany has a calm, collected demeanor that is infectious to her peers and the patients she cares for. Brittany has demonstrated great versatility, having also taken on roles such as charge nurse and preceptor. One example of Brittany’s nursing excellence was when she was walking her cardiac surgery patient around the unit, and the patient lost consciousness. Brittany was in the back hallway walking them, Brittany protected her patient by easing him to the ground. She quickly assessed and started CPR on the hard back hallway floor. Brittany’s quick actions, prioritizing patient safety and CPR, successfully resuscitated this patient. Brittany exemplified extraordinary and compassionate care.

Brittany leads and organizes the CCU Shared Governance. Brittany helped organize CCU Device Skills Days to provide staff practice in caring for patients with high acuity devices to improve quality and outcomes. Brittany was also an essential facilitator of the CCU Shared Government Emergent Sternotomy EBP project. Because of everything stated above, Brittany personifies Jefferson’s dedication to remarkable patient experiences, clinical expertise, and extraordinary compassionate care.
