I would like to nominate Britt for the outstanding care she gave to my husband during his final days at St. Joseph’s. He was on the 6th floor for several days, and he had excellent care from all the staff members. However, Brittany was on duty at the end and had some back-to-back shifts, so we saw her more often. Britt showed such compassion for my husband. She talked to him as his position was changed, washed his face and eyes (removing the accumulating crud), and came in often to check on him and us. She never seemed rushed as she answered our questions about what was happening with him and even took a few minutes to listen to goofy stories shared by visiting friends. She is a truly caring nurse, and we would like to see her honored as such!
