I was the administrator on call, and I received a call from the MVHS AO on Saturday to notify me of some issues they were having to provide a Holter monitor to a patient at MVHS, and that the Cardiologist and family were very upset due to the delay and a solution not being found. As I dug into the problem with the AO to understand what mitigation strategies had occurred, I had a strong feeling that our leaders at North would be able to help virtually.

Brittany spent multiple hours working through a half dozen challenges, partnering with IT, EPIC, and the vendor to ensure that this patient was able to be discharged in a manner that his physicians were comfortable with. She was persistent, overcame the multiple walls put in front of obtaining the outcome, and showed amazing critical thinking skills as she worked through the process.

Brittany, thank you for partnering with MVHS and me to find a creative strategy to meet this patient’s needs. The MVHN campus continues to lead the way in finding creative solutions for patients by looking outside of the status quo. I am so very proud and thankful for the opportunity to lead with you.
