The impact of Britnie's leadership within HCA Healthcare and the Virginia Emergency Nurses Association is widespread across the Commonwealth and the HCA enterprise. She demonstrates remarkable passion for emergency nursing, and her drive makes her the ideal candidate for the Daisy Award.
Britnie has participated in various corporate workgroups, developing the HCA Emergency Department Playbook, creating educational content for Pediatric Readiness, and stepping outside her area of expertise by partnering with the Critical Care team to develop content for the Cardiac Catheterization Transition to Practice residency. Additionally, she worked closely with the Capital Division quality team to create EMTALA case studies to increase awareness and address knowledge gaps among ED staff. Through her leadership, the EMTALA case study initiative produced a positive and significant impact on staff compliance and patient safety.
