Bridget Byker, BSN

I am an elderly man who was a patient for ten days with a bleeding prostate. Whenever you have a condition that involves bleeding, especially nonstop for ten days, it is scary. Blood was in my urine, which seemed to last forever. Bridget Byker came into my life after a few days and was with me for most of the process. She worked tirelessly every minute to keep me calm and make sure all my needs were taken care of. She explained my condition as everyone worked hard to stop the bleeding. She kept reassuring me that things would work out, keeping my spirits high.

Every time Bridget entered the room with her smile, professional demeanor, and attitude, I felt better. I could tell that she was concerned about me. She made sure that my constantly changing medications were delivered on time, explaining what each one was for. When it was finally time to leave, I felt a part of me remained in the hospital because of a nurse named Bridget. I knew that another lucky patient would soon have Bridget caring for them as she did for me.
