My personal ailment brought me to Keck for surgery. While going through my post-op care, I met my roommate, B. He was not having a good day, and Brianna skillfully
and professionally attended to him. Brianna was able to take professional advice and involve the right people in this situation. While Brianna was attending to my care, she was always very supportive and would ask questions regarding getting better care for myself.

This same politeness was also noticed when Brianna was attending to B. She was always making sure his needs were being met. For the last 33-plus years, I have been a firefighter-paramedic. During this time, I have been involved in patient contact, both personally and professionally. All too often, I have seen the dark side of nurses in patient care.
