Several weeks ago, a patient was discovered in cardiac arrest in the bathroom of our lobby. Brian was the first on the scene, and not only did he seamlessly and calmly run a Medical Alert situation and perform chest compressions on the patient, but he also used the opportunity to teach new clinical staff to use their clinical skills to properly handle the situation.

Because of Brian's quick thinking, astute professionalism, and approach, the patient was successfully resuscitated. Brian was a shining example of what the heart of nursing should be like - compassionate, timely, and patient-focused throughout the entire situation.
