My daughter was in a very bad auto accident and was transferred to HCA Memorial Hospital after having surgery in the ED as Satilla Memorial in Waycross, GA. Once she was admitted to the floor, Brendan was her nurse. He went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable. Her pain was bad, and her fear and emotions were everywhere. The nurse remained calm and talked her through each step of the admission. Brendan even found us a little fan because the room was so hot that night.

The next night, Brendan was back on shift and the bond continued. We trusted Brendan over the course of a 15 day stay! He was with us several times during this admission. In fact, my daughter would request him every chance she could. Brendan was so attentive to our needs. Never made her feel uncomfortable about the pure wicks to the stool softeners! Brendan even wiped her tears and spoke positive and encouraging words as my daughter cried. Brendan would stop to check in even if he was not this nurse’s patient. I could go on and on about the greatness. Brendan is going places in healthcare and is a jewel!

On March 30th, 2025, I experienced a life changing event that was very traumatizing. I came in as a trauma patient and from the moment this nurse was introduced as my nurse, I knew I was in good hands. Brendan nurse was extraordinary! Brendan was very thorough and went above and beyond for me!

I honestly can’t even put into words the way I felt. I was showed so much compassion! Nothing ever interrupted the care I received. One time I was crying and Brendan gave me words of encouragement and even wiped away my tears. I am very thankful to have this person as my nurse during such a traumatic time in my life. Definitely made my days brighter and always gave me something to look forward to!
