Upon my admission to the floor, Bre entered the room with a sweet and calming presence that immediately put me at ease. At the time, I was experiencing severe pain and had not been able to eat or drink in over 24 hours. After I shared this with her, she promptly obtained additional pain medication for me and even brought ice chips to provide some relief. Throughout the night, she checked on me frequently, always attentive to when I was due for pain medicine, offering extra blankets, and anticipating any other needs to make me more comfortable. Each time I pressed the call light, Bre arrived within minutes, ready to assist in any way she could. Bre exemplifies the true definition of a caregiver. Her compassion, attentiveness, and willingness to listen provided comfort during a time of significant pain and discomfort. I am deeply grateful for the exceptional care she provided, and I strongly believe she is deserving of a DAISY Award.
