June 2026 Honoree
Brandon Harrison, RN
My 79-year-old dad is in the ICU. He has been here for 2 weeks. When he came in, he was losing consciousness and was very confused. He has been intubated for over 2 weeks now, and things don't look so good, but one person in this hospital has stood out above all the nurses and doctors, and his name is Brandon. He felt like an angel when he walked into the room. This man exemplifies why people enter this profession—his passion for my dad and the rest of these patients is just amazing. Even when times were very dark, he came in to greet my mom and every family member who visited him. He has shown so much optimism towards my dad, even if there really isn't much. It's exactly what the family wants to hear and see. He has gone the extra mile to explain everything to us. He's even gone to great lengths, coming to the family waiting room to say hi, check on us, and update us on our dad. He is so thorough, polite, and passionate. I hope his colleagues see his passion and follow in his footsteps. This hospital is very lucky to have someone like him. He has completely put my family and me at ease, no matter what happens to my dad, whether he lives or dies. I will never forget the passion that this man has shown my family and me, and most importantly, my dad, and I am very grateful.
Thank you, Brandon, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
