Bobby Mccarthy, RN, BSN

I came to FICU the night before to prepare for testing the next day. I had been dealing with a strange condition for over a year where I went into anaphylactic shock randomly after eating certain foods or dealing with certain circumstances. The purpose of me going was to test different foods to see what happened when I ate. I was terrified.

Bobby Mccarthy was like an angel. He stood beside me the entire time; he held my back as I tried different foods, and as a scope was done with no numbing agents, he knew exactly what to say and how to keep me focused on other things rather than the reaction that I would have. He was so kind to both me and my husband. We are so eternally grateful for him.

Bobby is the epitome of an amazing Nurse. He knows exactly how to do his job. He does it well and efficiently, and knows exactly what to say and how to say it. We got the opportunity to learn about Bobby in his life during my stay, and it was a blessing. If I ever needed to be taken care of by another nurse, I truly hope that it is Bobby. We are so grateful for him.
