After a difficult third pregnancy, including gestational diabetes, anemia, preeclampsia, the flu, blood clots, and a broken rib, my daughter was exhausted. She was scheduled for her third C-section. After two not-great experiences with her first two deliveries out-of-state, she was determined to have a good experience and to breastfeed.

The entire team at Riverton, from EVS, phlebotomy, and the techs, but especially the nurses, have been amazing. Specifically Bobbi, the lactation consultant. She was the most compassionate, capable, and respectful nurse I’ve ever seen. Not only did she actively listen to my daughter’s needs, but she went above and beyond to make sure she had a great experience and helped her tremendously with techniques and hacks to prioritize her breastfeeding goals. It was such a refreshing change to see staff that functioned so well as a team, were active listeners, and prioritized the patient's needs. Bobbi is definitely the embodiment of the DAISY Award. My words can’t do her justice. The impact she had on my daughter reminds me of the pebble in the pond.
