I just wanted to take a second and recognize Blake for his care and attention in caring for our community. I have had Blake as a nurse for my patients in the past and have witnessed his excellent care, but wanted to highlight a time in which he truly displayed the factors and characteristics of an excellent bedside nurse.

I had a sick patient admitted. Blake was the nurse who was assigned to provide care. He took charge from the bedside nurse and thoughtfully advocated for his patient, demonstrating tremendous knowledge and excellence in care. He continued to care for this patient throughout his shift. Blake worked to be innovative in care options and displayed the characteristics of a nurse whom I would let care for me.
