Bethany cared for my grandma during her inpatient stay and during her end-of-life hospice care a few weeks later. Bethany immediately treated my grandma as a person, got to know her, and cared for her with compassion and kindness. My grandma mentioned to us multiple times how special and sweet Bethany made her feel. When my grandma was readmitted to hospice care, Bethany floated to her floor and recognized my grandma's name immediately and came to visit right away. Her familiar face eased my grandma's nerves, made her feel safer, and reassured my family during a difficult time. My grandma had significant pain from her injuries; however, she trusted Bethany to move her and make her feel comfortable and calm. She was one of the few she fully trusted, which speaks volumes about the relationship Bethany built with her. Bethany cared for my grandma with the same tenderness and dignity that only family would hope their loved one would receive at the end of their life. Bethany always listened and spoke directly to my grandma first, letting her make her own decisions. Bethany's kindness, attentiveness, patience, and compassion was authentic and never toned. We formed a deeper connection with her, and she always took the time to talk and never rushed the conversation. We learned she is from Arkansas and that she is a mother herself. We will never forget the relief heard in my grandma's voice when she saw Bethany for the first time in hospice. We are so grateful Bethany was part of my grandma's journey. She cared for her with both skill and heart, which gave us so much comfort. Bethany represents the very best of nursing and the difference one compassionate nurse can make in a patient's life and an entire family's.

Thank you, Bethany, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
