Ben made me comfortable with his caring manner, so I knew I was in “good hands” right away.
I was a very sick man when I arrived in the Emergency Room. The emergency room nurse assigned to me was Ben Pooler. Ben made me comfortable with his caring manner, so I knew I was in “good hands” right away. He spent time with me and quickly hooked me up to the intravenous because I was so dehydrated and not able to go to the bathroom for a few weeks, so he explained to me that it was a good thing I came for care.

Ben takes away any fear of coming to the hospital. He explained any questions that my wife and I had and asked if there was any other way or thing he could do to make me comfortable. He even brought my wife a bottle of water and asked if she wanted a sandwich. Ben kept checking on my pain level to make sure I was doing all right throughout his busy evening before the doctor arrived.

My wife needed to go out to the car for something and he walked out of the emergency room door with her and waited so she could get back in safely since it was dark outside. After my care, I went home and four days later I was back in the emergency room once again. Although Ben wasn’t my assigned nurse this time, he saw me as we yelled at him as he was passing by. He quickly stopped by my bedside to ask what happened and that he remembered how sick I was and said that I would get great care with the surgeon coming in to assess my condition. Ben’s compassionate skills were above and beyond his duties as a professional nurse.

Thank you, Ben, for my special care and for helping me to feel better. You are a special man and do good work!
