Benita has shown me better ways to organize my coursework, and I am taking more classes than she is in the BS program. Benita is a great leader and mentor to me.
Benita is an amazing nurse. She is thorough and makes sure that the patient's needs are met. Because I work with Benita and attend classes with her, she is like the leader/mother hen of the group. Making sure we little "chicks" are organized and doing well with our classes. She should be focusing on herself, but Benita always finds a way to help and think of others.
I work with Benita every day in our department. Benita has shown me better ways to organize my coursework, and I am taking more classes than she is in the BS program. Benita is a great leader and mentor to me.
Benita is a person, the type of leader and mentor, who always makes sure she practices what she preaches. Many times I may be having a rough day and she will take me for a walk, help work through my thoughts, but is real to say to me how to approach the situation professionally and how she would approach the situation if she was going through it herself. Benita is an approachable and very transparent person.
If Benita doesn't understand an assignment, she will either ask me if I don't know the answer, then she will respond by asking the teacher, but share what she learned from her interaction with the professor, so that we all do well on the assignment. Benita's responses with classwork assignments are insightful and help provide a different perspective on assignment topics.
Many people don't know this, but Benita was diagnosed with cancer a few years ago and had to have surgery to remove the cancer. Benita has to receive Keytruda infusions to help finish shrinking the cancer and help her to be in remission. I want to let people know about Benita's hard work, dedication, and positive outlook even with having Keytruda infusions. Benita works full time, BS program part time, takes care of her mom and family, goes to infusions I think every 3 weeks and still shows up to work willing to help the staff out with whatever question we have, and the same with school. Through such odds and what could be looked at as setbacks, Benita still chooses to push through and push on with obtaining her education, and with letting her light shine by helping others.
