February 2023 Honoree
Belinda Rampp, RN
I have been a full-time caregiver to my two elderly parents for 4 years now. I also teach full-time. My parents have been very ill. After working all day, I received a call that my dad had suffered a massive stroke and would be placed on hospice. From the moment she came to our room, she was extremely kind and compassionate. I am experiencing a wave of emotions and am heartbroken. She sat and talked to me and reassured me that what I was feeling was normal. She shared personal experiences as well. She let me know that she would be on a 12-hour shift and was here to ensure my dad was comfortable. I felt her empathy and kindness and could tell she was a genuinely kind soul. The world and hospitals need more people like her.
Thank you, Belinda, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
