Becky Smith, RN
I received a diagnosis necessitating 18 months of treatment at the infusion center. Initially, the prospect of such a lengthy treatment plan was a source of stress and uncertainty. However, the experience has been so positive that it has simply become part of our everyday life, with my wife and me planning our schedules around treatments every two weeks.
Throughout this journey, all of the staff have been wonderful - friendly, caring, accommodating, and professional. We are truly grateful for the exceptional care we have received.
Many of my infusions were administered by Becky, and she was truly exceptional. Not only did she go out of her way to ensure that both my wife and I were comfortable, but she also took time to get to know us and learn about what was happening in our lives. Her genuine interest and personal connection made each visit feel much less like a medical appointment and more like time spent with a caring friend.
Becky always made sure I had my four pillows and two blankets ready, which made my visits much more comfortable and created the perfect environment for a nap during the infusion and observation period. Even while caring for multiple patients, she consistently maintained her warm, friendly, and helpful demeanor.
She would regularly stop by to check on us, make sure everything was going well, and ask if either of us needed anything. She always had a smile on her face and continually went above and beyond to make our visits pleasant and comfortable.
As I approach the end of my 18-month infusion journey, it will be an adjustment not seeing Becky's friendly smile and warm personality every two weeks. While we will likely continue with monthly maintenance visits, I know the experience will be different. I was initially unsure and apprehensive about the infusion process, but Becky helped make it feel easy, comfortable, and stress-free.
Becky is highly deserving of this honor. Her compassion, attentiveness, professionalism, and dedication have made a meaningful difference throughout my treatment journey. She has had a positive impact not only on my care but also on my overall experience during a challenging time.
