Barbara is an extraordinary nurse; she treated me like I was her only patient. She made me feel safe and comforted me as I was so scared. She explained everything she was doing and the plan for the day. She’s gentle and calm and so reassuring. As a nurse myself, she really embodied nursing as a calling. She treated me like a family member. Her care and concern are so genuine. She involved me in her care step by step and answered all the questions I had. She did a "real" neuro assessment on me almost every hour. I felt very special as she dedicated to me, as if I were her only patient. She is very thorough and explained everything that she was doing and her findings on the neuro assessment. She rounded with the doctors, and during the change of shift, she gave the nurse a very thorough bedside report and performed another assessment. As a nurse myself, I can say she is one of the best nurses I have encountered. Please let her know how truly great she is and give her my appreciation.
