She listened to us, advocated for our mother, and made sure our mom’s comfort and wishes were always at the center of every conversation.
Over the last three days, our family has been facing one of the most difficult moments of our lives as we navigated complex and heartbreaking medical decisions regarding our mother, A. During this time, Bailey has been nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment she began caring for our mom, Bailey showed compassion, patience, and attentiveness that immediately put our entire family at ease. She treated our mother not just as a patient, but as a person deserving of dignity, respect, and kindness during an incredibly vulnerable time. As our family struggled through painful decisions about our mom’s care, Bailey remained a steady and supportive presence. She listened to us, advocated for our mother, and made sure our mom’s comfort and wishes were always at the center of every conversation. She never rushed us, always took the time to answer questions, and approached every interaction with genuine empathy and understanding. What stood out most was the dignity with which she cared for our mother. Even in the smallest moments—adjusting her position, speaking gently to her, or explaining what she was doing—Bailey showed deep respect and humanity. She also extended that same compassion to our entire family, helping guide us through an impossible situation with patience and kindness. Because of Bailey, our family felt supported, heard, and cared for during one of the hardest experiences we have ever faced. Her presence made an unbearable situation easier to navigate, and we will never forget the way she treated our mother and our family during these moments. Bailey represents the very best of what nursing should be. We are deeply grateful for her care and believe she truly deserves the DAISY Award. When our family looks back on this incredibly difficult time, Bailey will always be remembered as the nurse who helped our mother feel respected, cared for, and surrounded by compassion when it mattered most.

She took amazing care of my mom, who was suffering from a massive stroke, and was so caring and so sweet, and once we switched to hospice. She really upped her caring, and she is so sweet. Checking on family members and grandkids. She went above and beyond, always making sure my mom was comfortable.
