A few years ago, I was in the hospital, and while I was there, my brother died in a freak accident. I also had complications with what was happening to me during that stay, and I nearly died.
A couple of years later, I came back to the hospital. Needless to say, I was scared to death.
After my procedure, Bailey came in to take care of me. She took the time to listen to my entire story so that she could better understand where my fears and anxiety came from during my stay. She listened. She never once made me feel rushed or judged, and she reassured me that she would make sure nothing got missed.
Bailey monitored me and even gave me distractions from the stress going on around me. She helped get me up, dressed, showered, and ready. She regularly came in to make sure I was eating and feeling okay. When my night nurse messed up my pain medication schedule and I started to hurt, Bailey made sure to correct everything so that I was comfortable.
She didn’t just help heal me physically; she helped heal me mentally by giving me the best care. She took the time to make sure I was feeling great, not just “okay.” She gave me the best healing experience of my life. I left that stay not feeling worried about my health at all, and I knew Bailey had made sure I was safe to go home this time.
Bailey, thanks for looking out for me. Your kindness and compassion for patients is unmatched.
