Atousa Salehi, BSN, RN

Atousa helped me so much during my time at UCLA. I’ve been there twice, and the first time most definitely saved my life. I came in at 80 lbs, on the brink of death, and Atousa sat with me during my one-on-one meals, encouraging me throughout. She would talk to me and distract me because she knew it would help me complete more of my meal. When it came time to tube me, she explained the process and talked me through it to make it less painful and traumatic. When I had panic attacks, she would sit with me and calm me down, even though she had a million other things to do. She always made her patients her first priority. She helped me so much, and I wouldn’t be as stable if it weren’t for her.

Atousa’s greatness is not shown in one incident, because her sheer presence cures all pain I had in a psych ward for 5 months.
