Ashley was our night nurse every night during our stay with our son at Norton Children’s Hospital. We were sent to the ER and our son was admitted for pneumonia. After a very scary day, Ashley was our admitting nurse on the 5th floor and she helped calm our nerves and provided reassurance. She went above and beyond for us and our son every night. He was very sick and Ashley was quick to respond to every call light. Despite all the trauma he endured, Ashley was able to earn his trust by the last night! Watching them play together (until 5 am) was the highlight of our stay! Ashley helped to lift his spirits and it made her day as well! We didn’t get a chance to thank Ashley or say goodbye. She went out of her way to leave us a hidden note that brought tears to my eyes. We instantly connected with Ashley from the beginning! Ashley deserves the DAISY Award for her positive energy, sweet personality, and the exceptional care she provided! We loved having Ashley as our nurse. I regret not getting her last name so we could stay connected through social media.
