I had an extremely difficult pregnancy and was terrified when it was time for me to deliver. Ashley was my nurse and she was absolutely amazing. She answered every question that I had and made me feel so comfortable. Even though I am a nurse, I still had so many questions. When I began to feel overwhelmed, I needed to just be with my husband. I didn't want to insult my family, so Ashley politely asked them to step out for me. My daughter was born at 7:05 PM and even though it was no longer her shift, and in the middle of shift change, Ashley stayed with me and encouraged me through the whole process. I remember looking at the clock and seeing that it was 9:00 PM and she was still at work taking care of me. She had a smile on her face through the entire shift. Being a nurse myself, I know how stressful our job can be. Ashley made it seem effortless. She was born to be an amazing nurse! Summit should be extremely proud to have Ashley on their staff. I know I am proud to say that a nurse like her works at my hospital.
