Ashley recently cared for a minor patient in the ED who was suffering from a sensitive issue. The patient's father called the Quality line to let us know how impressed he was with Ashley's care. Ashley was beyond compassionate and one of the best nurses he has encountered at Mid Coast Hospital. She came out to the vehicle, took his daughter right in and put her in a room, she explained everything as she was doing it, she allowed his daughter to make decisions and made sure that the daughter was the focal point when it came to providers, other nurses, parents and law enforcement. He shared that he had never met a nurse who did not care at Mid Coast, but that Ashley went above and beyond. "Ashley was the calm in his daughter's storm."
