March 2026 Honoree
Ashley Hoerner, RN
Our family member was admitted to the hospital and was told her heart was very weak, and there was nothing left that could be done. As you can imagine, she was down and upset.
Ashley took the time to sit with her one night, eat a cookie, and drink hot tea. When I spoke with her, she was in much better spirits and told me what a blessing Ashley was and how she gave her hope. As her family, we live an hour away, so we were not able to visit every night, but we wanted to come up as often as we could.
I believe the kindness that Ashley showed her definitely gave her the fight and hope she desperately needed. When she was released, Ashley wrote her a note, and she cherished it dearly.
Unfortunately, she passed away. In her honor, she would be so happy to know she received this award.

Thank you, Ashley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
