I would like to recognize Ashley for her extraordinary leadership, composure, and dedication during one of the most chaotic nights we’ve experienced. On a night when the unit felt like a constant storm—multiple patients crashing, trauma activations going off every 10 minutes, doctors tied up in the OR performing bedside procedures—Ashley stepped up and held everything together. She simultaneously served as Charge Nurse, CMT, and Unit Clerk, managing critical tasks and coordinating care seamlessly. Despite the overwhelming workload and intensity of the shift, Ashley stayed focused, organized, and calm. She ensured that nothing and no one fell through the cracks. What could’ve easily turned into a total disaster, we stayed under control because of her leadership and ability to multitask under pressure. Ashley didn’t just step up—she held the unit together when it mattered most. Her actions that night were the definition of excellence, accountability, and resilience. We are incredibly lucky to have her on our team.
