I don't think that she gets told any of this enough or that she even realizes the positive impact that she has had on each of us in our journey. I just want her to know how much we love her and appreciate her.
Ashley received the DAISY Award after being nominated by her students for being "a nurse educator that exemplifies the kind of nurse that students recognize as an exemplary educator and an outstanding role model.''
Students commented that Ashley consistently goes above and beyond when teaching her students. She always makes time to answer questions and ensures all students understand the material. She engages her students in activities that create and foster a positive learning environment. She comes to class each day with a smile on her face, greeting students in a positive way that makes everyone feel how much she cares. She cares so much for her students, is always available for advice, and guides them to become better students, which inspires them to become better nurses.
One student comments, "I can tell that she genuinely has a passion for nursing, but she is even more passionate about teaching and molding us into the best nurses that we can possibly be. I don't think that she gets told any of this enough or that she even realizes the positive impact that she has had on each of us in our journey. I just want her to know how much we love her and appreciate her."
