My son was admitted to the hospital for a two-night stay due to a viral infection. He had to have IV antibiotic treatments after going through blood tests and a spinal tap. This nurse was the night nurse for both nights. She was absolutely fantastic! My son is extremely afraid of needles, and needless to say, he experienced a lot during his hospital stay. Ashley was kind, patient, and made a significant impression on my son. When I asked him who was his favorite nurse, he said, "Ashley was one of the best things about the hospital." My son's IV was really irritating him to the point that he was crying due to his discomfort. She took the time to explain the situation and did everything she could to make it better and more manageable for him. She cared! As a parent, I also appreciated her support. It is not an easy situation to be the parent of a sick child in the hospital. The whole experience was mentally and emotionally draining. This nurse provided support that helped us get through our stay. Thank you so much!
