I wanted to recognize RN Ashley. She is so good at her job and has definitely found her calling! Ashley took care of my Dad. He is not an easy person. He can also be quite a limit-pusher. Ashley would still come into his room to encourage him to wear his BiPAP mask and not pull out his IV's. She would be direct with him and kind. When Dad was sleeping too much from his carbon monoxide getting too high, she would work harder to try waking him up and also talk to Dad's Doctor to get support. She spoke for her patient, who couldn't speak at the time. She noticed him struggling and took action. Ashley also looked for creative ways to help get my Dad out of the hospital faster. His dementia would kick in, and he would not remember why he was in the hospital or why he had so many iv's in his body. He would become scared and pull them out. He truly needed skilled nursing to continue to heal. Ashley planned to move Dad to a room right across from the Nurse's Station so he could be monitored better and redirected sooner if needed. Giving him the opportunity to leave the hospital and heal more in skilled nursing. Ashley didn't have to take these extra steps. And she did! She showed compassion to a grumpy old man. She got creative to provide the best patient care. She was kind and educated our family on how Dad was doing. She went above and beyond for a difficult patient. That shows Ashley's dedication, desire to make a positive impact in patient care, and simply her desire for the best patient outcomes! She's a hero for what she does for her patients and for the families. I am very grateful for Ashley!

Thank you, Ashley, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
