A patient presented to the clinic for an appointment on the wrong day. She has been struggling with pain and several other issues recently, and started to have a panic attack. The patient was scheduled to come in to see her PCP the next day to discuss pain management, she didn’t have enough pain medication to make it to her next appointment, since she mistakenly came in early.

Ashley stayed with the patient to help calm her down, and reached out to Care Coordination and Administration to get the patient gas cards to help her get back to her appointment. She saw the importance of her getting back to discuss her current health issues. She obtained the gas cards for the patient and helped make sure she was calm enough to safely make it to her car and drive safely home. Ashley showed extraordinary care, determination, sympathy, and love during this situation. She should be proud!
